For Chekhov’s Letters: Biography, Context, Poetics, I contributed the chapter “Burned Letters: Reconstructing the Chekhov-Levitan Relationship.”
I also wrote a short essay for a section of the book, in which the editors asked some of the anthology’s authors to describe their favorite Chekhov letter. “A Prescription to Keep Love at Bay” is a brief commentary on a humorous and intentionally absurd letter that Chekhov sent to Lika Mizinova on 20 June 1891.
The book was published by Lexington Books in October 2018.
