In the 1960s in rural Russia, a boy sneaks into a barn where a group of workers is watching a film with no redeeming social value.
This trailer for the Grand Illusion Cinema in Seattle was commissioned by the Northwest Film Forum and funded through a grant by the King County Arts Commission. It ran as a self-promotional trailer at the theater before feature films.
It was inspired by a similar experience I had as a child. For me there has always been something voyeuristic about going to the movies.
